The mare Jambalya (Zirocco Blue x Caretino), bred by Stoeterij Vissers, was rewarded with a ster during the mare test in De Mortel yesterday. Six of the in total 42 ster declared mares had a score of 80/80, including Jambalya. Jambalya is owned by Stoeterij Vissers and Stal Krol.

This is what 2017 has in store for us in terms of foals!

We are expecting several foals with top pedigrees this year. Five of our mares are in foal. An update:

We chose the stud Armitage (Artentunis x Grannus) for our breeding mare Pandora (Coronado x Roman). Pandora already has an approved son: Cascor (by Casall). This stallion was champion at Holstein as a 4-year-old in 2012 and is also Zangersheide approved. We expect a winner in the making due to his combination of the super technical jumping Armitage and Pandoras proven jumping genes.

For Clarima (Clarimo x Concerto II) we chose the stud Chaccato (Chacco-Blue x Stakkato). Clarima originates form the world-famous Holstein dam-line 741. This dam-line has produced many international top horses such as Olli-Pop (by Olisco) with Richard Robinson and Lausbub (by Landmeister) with the German-Dutch rider Franke Sloothaak. Chaccato was Hauptprämiensieger in the Oldenburger Stallion Show in 2014. He was rewarded with this due to his outstanding first year of foals and because of his amazing results during the performance test. For his performance test he received an 8.93 for jumping and an 8.17 overall.

The Chin Chin-daughter Areedom VDL (Chin Chin x Baloubet du Rouet) is expecting a foal by Falaise de Muze. The mare herself comes from a true sports family. Her sire is Chin Chin, who participated twice in the Olympic Games under Jaime Azcarraga. Grandsire Baloubet du Rouet also took part twice in the Olympic Games and won team bronze in 2000 and even individual gold in 2004 under Rodrigo Pessoa. The stud Falaise de Muze is exceptionally well bred. His sire Wandor van de Mispelaere inherits his jumping qualities to his offspring. Mother Walnut de Muze (Nabab de Reve x Querly Chin) was active on highest level of sports under Harrie Smolders. Falaise himself has performed on 1.50m level under Annelies Vorsselmans.

We chose the stud Cornet Obolensky for our mare Affection (Argentinus x Cassini x Polydor). Affection’s sire is the praised stud Argentinus. He has produced more than 30 approved stallions. His offspring is good for more than € 300.000 worth of prize money. Some of his well performing descendants are Arko (under Nick Skelton) and Autogramm (under Thomas Mühlbauer). Cornet Obolensky is one of the most successful stallions ever. In total, 21 of his oldest offspring acted on the highest level of sports. He inherits his talent for jumping very well.

Tiffany XIII (Lancer II x Cassini I) is expecting a foal by Herald III. Tiffany is one of the descendants of the Holsteiner damline 579. This damline guarantees sporthorses of the highest level. This line has produced the stallions Cagencho, Cassini Royal and Contiago. Stoeterij Vissers has multiple foals by Herald III (Liberté, Leading Lady and Le Mistique). Due to the qualities of these foals we again chose for Herald III. Herald III has acted on highest level of showjumping for more than eight years. His foals show the same talent.

Geronimo auctioned for €140.000 at Dutch Sport Horse Sales

Geronimo (Emilion x Oberon du Moulin), a horse bred by Stoeterij Vissers, was auctioned during the Dutch Sport Horse Sales that took place last week. There was a good atmosphere and the horses that went under the hammer were all of high quality. Geronimo was one of the few who were lucky enough to be part of the auction collection of the DSHS.

The talented Emilion-son had already shown to be very talented during the presentation that took place on Monday in Kronenberg. He also presented himself very well during the auction night. His talent impressed the public and many bidders showed their interest. He eventually exchanged for an amount of € 140.000 by owner.

We wish the new owners lots of happiness with our breeding product Geronimo. We are proud that he was part of the well-known Dutch Sport Horse Sales.

Geronimo has a lot of blood, being a descendant of Emilion out of a mare by the French sire Oberon du Moulin. Through Contender and Landgraf I the pedigree of Geronimo goes back to an excellent Holstein line. Grandmother Orchidee is not only the mother of the champion of the National Mare Show Chinchidee, but also of the approved stallion Original VDL and the Grand Prix jumper Quite Magic. Besides his huge jumping ability and reflexes, Geronimo’s great rideability makes him a horse that will suit many riders.

Foals of 2016

In the spring of 2016, 10 foals were born at Stoeterij Vissers. An overview of our foals:

Beautiful foals were born with sires that perform well in the sport or have performed. Three foals (Le Mistique, Leading Lady and Liberté) are descendants of Herald III, a stallion that has been successful in the sport for more than 8 years. He won several Nations Cups and was active among others under Pilar Lucrecia Cordon Muro, Markus Beerbaum, Eric Lamaze and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum.

In addition, two foals are descendants of Quasimodo van de Molendreef: Levi’s Miller and Luca Quasi. One of the descendants of this impressive stallion is the world famous Hello Sanctos, who is the number 1 in the world ranking for jumpers. Hello Sanctos wrote history last year by winning the Rolex Grand Slam. With his victories in the Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows, Geneva and Aachen, Hello Sanctos won the Grand Slam bonus of 1 million euros.

Lennox, a Kannan x Argentinus is sold at the Elite Foal Auction Sales International, as well as the Quasimodo vd Molendreef-descendant Levi’s Miller. Click here to go to Lennox and here to go to Levi Miller. The foals are on the website of Elite Sales International under a different name. The Kannan-descendant went for an amount of €9,500 under the hammer and Quasimodo went for € 10,000 to a new owner.

Lily Quin, a beautiful colt of Diarado, is promising. Her 11-year-old father impressed last summer under Jonas Vervoort by finishing in 3rd place at the Dobrock Competition. The stallion was also the HLP champion in the 70-day test with a score of 150.57 points!

Additionally Stoeterij Vissers has this year a descendant of Dante Weltino, the reserve champion of the Oldenburg stallion 2009: Let’s Go Dante. This chic colt has already very good moves! A promise for the future.

Lance is a descendant of the stallion Douglas, who is in possession of a very good sire line. His offspring is active at the highest level, including among others Dougie Douglas and Suma’s Zorro. Douglas is the father Heartbreaker, who was active at Grand Prix level and has sons, among others, the approved stallion VDL Harley and Quasimodo the Molendreef.

The luxurious filly Lacroix is a wonderful example of a well-bred dressage foal. Her father Hennessy combines the blood of Jazz, De Niro and Ulft. Jazz and De Niro were both successful at Grand Prix level for years.

Lacroix (v. Hennessy)

Succesvolle Elite Sales International voor Vissers veulens

Two foals of Stoeterij Vissers were auctioned in the foal auction Elite Sales International that took place last Friday. The auction takes place annually in the German Lastrop and already had several successful editions.

The foal Lennox (Kannan x Argentinus) went under the hammer for a nice amount of €9,500. The second foal that was part of the auction was a Quasimodo Molendreef-descendant named Levi’s Miller. This beautiful foal exchanged for an amount of € 10,000 from owner. The foals were part of the collection under a different name than on our own website. The Kannan is named Krasnoyarsk, and Quasimodo was part of the collection as Quentin. Click this link to view the Kannan offspring on the auction website, and here to see the Quasimodo foal.

We are very pleased with the outcome of the auction! We hereby wish the new owners good luck and have fun with our foals.

Lennox

Levi’s Miller

Two foals in the Elite Sales International

Two foals of Stoeterij Vissers will be auctioned on Friday September 26th during the Elite Sales International in Lastrup, Germany. The Elite Sales International is a prominent foal auction that has already brought many top sporthorses. Lennox (Kannan x Argentinus) and Levi’s Miller (Quasimodo van de Molendreef x Lennon) are part of this year’s collection.

We are very curious what the auction will bring us, but we don’t have a doubt about it’s quality and our foals. Both Kannan and Quasimodo van de Molendreef have produced many approved and top of class show jumpers, and it looks like Lennox ans Levi’s Miller also inherited their father’s genes!

Lennox will be auctioned under the name Krasnojarsk and Levi’s Miller under the name Quentin.

Gamira in foal with Zirocco Blue VDL

We would like to attend you to the fact that our young mare Gamira is in foal with Jur Vrielings jumping phenomenon Zirocco Blue VDL. The duo became third in the Hickstead and second in the Nations Cup in Rome this year.

Gamira is a daughter of the Ircolando, who died at the age of eleven. The stallion got his keur-predicate after his death due to his many successful offspring.

Gamira is a half-sister of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hannover- and Oldenburg approved jumping stud Levisonn (Levisto Z x Lennon). Dam Melodie VIII gave life to her talented son in 2005.

Gamira comes from the prestigious Holsteiner damline 776. The stallion Lordanos (Landos x Ahorn Z) also comes from this damline. It guarentees sporthorses that are willing to work. In 2013, the magazine ‘Sport Horse Breeding’ presented a list with the worlds most succesfull damlines. Damline 776 was the leader of this list.
