The foals of 2022

    • Stoeterij Vissers welcomes the first filly of the year

The first foal of the year is Shakira, a mare by Cosmos Z whose mother is our broodmare Affection (Argentinus x Cassini I). Cosmos Z is a stallion out of the Chellano Alpha Z, and his dam Aida A (by Artos Z) has produced several international show jumpers. Affection has produced several fine showjumping horses that are competed at 1.55 level, among others. Would Shakira also become such a topper?

Affection expects two more offspring this year. Two foals by Carthago Z (Capitol I x Calando I) are expected this month. This stallion competed at 1.60 level and participated in the Olympic Games in 1996 and 2000. Breeding technically, Carthago is the best breeding stallion of all time, according to an article from Pferd-und Sport by Het Holsteiner Stambuch. 13% of Carthago descendants jump 1.60.

    • Stallion of Glocks Romanov born

The first stallion of the year is Simply Red. The dam of Simply Red is our broodmare Tylana (Caretino x Carolus I x Cor de la Bryère).

Tylana’s great-granddam, Tronja (Landgraf I x Allasch) already produced four approved stallions. This dam line is characterized by the many predicates and good sport horses. Caretino is now known for his offspring, previously he had a successful jumping career under Ludger Beerbaum. Caretino is also known for his dressage inheritance of GrandPrix horses. In the WBFSH jumping ranking of 2017, two Caretinos were among the best four horses in the world, of which number 1 was a Caretino and in 4th place was Casall (by Carentino).

Glocks Romanov (Rohdiamant x Grundstein II). In 2004 he was the best dressage stallion at the inspection and in 2005 he became champion of the 5-year-old dressage horses in Denmark. In 2013 he became successful under Hans-Peter Minderhoud. He won with Minderhoud in Aachen (CDI4*), Drachten (CDI3*), Hagen (CDI4*), Villach (CDI3*), and many top three placings. At the European Championships in Herning they won silver together with the team.

    • Nadesh also expects a foal this year.

Nadesh is a 2018 mare by Cornet Obolensky x Argentinus. Cornet Obolensky (Clinton x Heartbreaker) is one of the most successful stallions in Europe. On the 30-day test, this top stallion scored a 9.24 for the jumping components and a 10 for free jumping. This stallion is not only a great jumping horse, but also a good breeding stallion. He has already given many horses that run 1.60 level.

Nadesh is a daughter of our broodmare Affection (Argentinus x Cassini I). Affection is the half sister of the stallions Cristallo I and II (by Cornet Obolensky), so it is logical to think like mother like daughter. For this reason, Stoeterij Vissers has paired Affection with Cornet Obolensky. With Nadesh as a result, Stoeterij Vissers is very satisfied with the result.

In June we hope to welcome a foal by Verdi (Quidam de Revel x Landgraf I) from Nadesh.

Verdi is known for his top attitude, health and toughness. The stallion was approved as a three-year-old. In that year he immediately started breeding, with the result that when his oldest offspring were only ten years old, more than eighty were competing at 1.40 level and higher. As a nine-year-old Verdi ran his first European Championship under Maikel Van de Vleuten. After that, he participated in two Olympic Games, a World Cup, and two more European Championships. In 2022, Verdi retired from the sport after his successful years as a show jumper. Now we can hopefully enjoy his offspring.

    • In June a foal from Liberté

Liberté (Herald III x Chinchin x Baloubet du Rouet x Nimmerdor) expects an All Star foal this year. All Star is an Argentinus x Almé Z x Ramiro Z stallion. All Star has very successfully competed at 1.60 level for 5 years under Dennis Linsch and for a long time belonged to the best 10 horses in the world.

Our broodmare Liberté is only 6 years old, but unfortunately she has injured her ball and can no longer be used for the sport. Stoeterij Vissers kept her as a broodmare because she was a fantastic free jumper as a foal and a 3-year-old. Her dam line contains a whole range of elite mares. Many descendants of Chinchin and Baloubet du Rouet are active in international show jumping.
