As her name may suggest: Caretina is a daughter of the legendary Caretino. Caretino belongs to the best supplier of jumping horses of his generation. The stallion stud gave the international jumpers Ballerina(Markus Merschformann), Casall la Silla (Rolf Goran Bengtsson) and Chupa Chups (Bernardo Alves). Caretino himself acted at the highest level under toprider Ludger Beerbaum.

Dam Kabella (by Rebel Z) is next to Caretino also the dam of Zabella (by Caretino). This Holstein bezirksprämie mare jumped at 1.50m-level and is currently used as breeding mare in Italy. Another offspring by Kabella is VDL Groep Eponia. This mare is owned by Stoeterij Duyselshof and is being trained by Joep van der Kampen.
